This is a photo of a Southern-White Faced Owl taken in Kruger National Park, South Africa in August 2017. This was one of my luckiest shots: I was on a night safari in the park. We had not seen much, except for some lions a far, far distance away. Someone had suddenly shined our spotlight in a close-by tree and we saw this little one hanging around! I quickly got my shot before he flew away. Owls are one of my favorite species of animals.
