This photo of a crocus plant was taken in April 2018, in the Horticultural Garden on Michigan State University’s campus. After a long, cold Michigan winter, I took the first warm spring day to stroll the gardens on campus to take photos of the early spring ephemerals. These crocuses were already blooming brightly.
