This photo of a Monarch Butterfly was taken at the Inland Lakes Research Area in Lansing, Michigan in September 2018. This area is a popular breeding ground for this species, and I was lucky enough to visit the area on a sunny afternoon take grab a couple photos before they returned south for the colder months.
